Up for sale with is a Rare Pair of 18th Century Georgian Period Scottish Sterling Silver Serving Spoons. The Pair are some of the earliest Scottish Silver I have sold in a long time and I am sure a rare fine indeed. The Spoons are in the ever popular Old English Pattern and are nicely monogrammed J.H. or T.H. as seen in the photos. The Spoons are in very good condition for the age with a couple light spots to the bowls but nothing bad. The Spoons are also nice large examples measuring 8-5/8" long and have a quality combined weight of 148 grams. The Spoons are fully Hallmarked for Edinburgh Scotland, Sterling Silver and the Date Letter "x" for 1776-1777. I could not identify the maker, it looks like T.H to me and I am sure the maker could be identified with some research. I am sure 18th Century Scottish Sterling does not come up for sale often especially selling with !

We make great effort to accurately describe each item listed. Returns are accepted, if either condition, country of origin or dating we stateis significantly incorrect. In such cases we refund your shipping costs as well. Like you, we are only human, and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. But remember, the items you see are antiques. Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how "small" four inches might be once in hand. Any Item or Lot Sold "AsIs" is not elligible for Return or Partial Refund, no exceptions. Also all returns must beposted within14 days of delivery confirmation.
