Up for sale, a rare, divided back, postcard (CartePostale) of “Campagne de 1914-1916—Armee Russ.—Cosaques” c.1916, World War Oneviewof the Russian Army Cossacks on horses in parade formation with sabres and gunsdrawn. Postcardmeasures about 3 ½ x 5 ½ (see scans). Published in Paris #52. Magnificationreveals perhaps a calvary of a hundred Cossacks ready to fight in formationwith a Flag standard and wearing traditional uniforms with papakhas (hats). Very good to excellentused condition. Corners are pointed to very slightly rounded. No tears orcreases or corner bends (with usual foxing, fading, and spots from age).
