RARE VTG Middle-Eastern Moroccan Cobalt Blue Safi Kaspah Ginger Jar

Hand-crafted by well known potter, Chakib in the coastal town of Safi located in Morocco. Pottery in Safi is known for their ornate metals such as fine filigree silver nickel or brass inlays (not 100% sure which metal is on this vase) and pottery made with red clay.

In good condition! No chips! One hairline crack near rim but metal overlay keeps clay from cracking further. Barely noticeable and smooth on both sides. Please see photos. Light crazing on bottom.

I couldn\'t find any vase comparable to this vase online anywhere!

Stands approximately 6 1/2\" tall, 19 1/4\" around the widest part of the base, 4 3/4\" across top opening and 3 3/8\" across bottom base.
