Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This is an opportunity to obtain a very RARE intact A.G. Spalding & Bros. Spring and Summer catalog from 1924 WITH the original unused uniform order form included! AND...1924 was the year of the Olympic games. This soft cover catalog has a complete index of all the Spalding sports equipment offered. Spalding & Bros. was established in 1876 and were known for quality sporting goods distributors. What a wonderful reference for any sports memorabilia or Olympics collector! The book measures 8\" by 5 1/4\" and has 96 numbered pages. The front cover art features a batter and catcher with a baseball logo at the top that states, \"Spalding No. 1 Official National League Cork Center- The Ball That Made Base Ball.\" This well indexed catalog features items for sports such as baseball, golf, swimming, polo, cricket, tennis, track and field, volley ball, basket ball, squash, skating and weight lifting. Equipment, uniforms and accessories are depicted with the 1924 prices. There are pages of \"autograph\" equipment where items with popular players of the day\'s autograph stamps are on the models. There is 96 well illustrated pages of every kind of sports item with prices and descriptions. On page 41 is the Spalding Official Tennis Ball adopted by the French Olympic Committee for use in the 1924 Olympic games. On page 86 is an informational page on the Olympics and states that \"A.G. Spalding & Bros. have the honor of being selected by the French Olympic Committee to furnish the implements for competition in the Track and Field Events of the Olympic Games of 1924, and also to supply the ball used in the Olympic Games lawn tennis matches.\" It also states, \"The uniforms- both dress and competition- for the American Olympic Teams- Track and Field, Swimming, Tennis, Skating, Hockey, Boxing, Wrestling and Foot Ball- have been supplied exclusively bby A.G. Spalding and Bros.\" This catalog would be great for identifying vintage sports items or just fun to look through. These catalogs are soft cover and were not designed to be kept over the years. As a result, they are very hard to come by. With only minor edge wear and tear, and storage soil, this catalog has a tight binding, clean pages and no foreign marks in the catalog or order form.
