RARE Vintage AFRICAN Carved Ankole Longhorn Bone Tribal SCRIMSHAW Bracelet c1940:

This listing is for avintage handmade African bone bracelet; I don\'t know how old it is but it isprobably from Kenya in the 1940\'s when my aunt visited Africa. It is thin carvepanels carved with a sharp knife and then rubbed with ash or plant juice inscrimshaw fashion. The star symbol represents the balance between man and GODand the target symbol means success in every relationship. It is 2 inches wideand 7 inches without any stretch to the elastic. The bracelet is in excellentvintage condition, there is some wear to the stain in the etching. The bone hasa slight yellow tint to it that is normal for its age. The inside and edge ofthe bracelet panels have striations& pitting that is natural in bones. The elastic is vintage and should be replaced forsecurity reasons. THIS IS NOT IVORY.
