This is beautiful just as something to set around even if you never intend to use it. It has a gorgeous patina. Imagine all the flowers that were actually made with this. This is a really rare 3 piece set that\'s complete.
There is a 2 part flower mold complete with top and bottom. The bottom part is made of iron and has a wood handle. The entire length including handle is 9 inches. The flower is about 2 1/4 inches in diameter by 1 3/4 inches thick. The top is about 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches across and about 1 1/4 inches deep of solid brass. When the top veiner and bottom are put together it\'s about 2 inches thick. The cutter is 6 1/4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches in diameter at the top. The cutter might be useful if you have similar flowers that don\'t have a cutter as it\'s kind of universal for that size of round shaped flowers.

This is quite usable and you could actually cut and form a flower today exactly how it was done years ago. You need a very heavy deadblow mallet to cut out the flower shapes.
Cut the fabric of your choice (velvet or cotton) and cut out the flower with the cutter. Heat the brass piece. Just placing it on a griddle or stove top and warming it a bit will do. Put some liquid starch on the cut out piece and place it between the top and bottom and press. If you have some way of clamping it tightly it will help. Remove and let dry.Wonderful also just for display. This is a serious well-made tool set. Yes I combine shipping. Or will do a refund if you overpay.
