Celluloid Heart - Shaped Bookmark

In 1910, Charles TazeRussellgave one of these bookmarks to each Bethelite
at his BrooklynTabernacle as a Christmas gift.
(The holiday was stillcelebrated back then)Later that year it was made available to Colporteurs (earlyRegular Pioneers),
and an advertisement forit appeared in the Watch Tower magazine.
(The ad describes it indetail, authenticating this bookmark as the real thing!)

It is stunningly beautiful,with \"Brooklyn Tabernacle\" printedon the bottom.
(The Brooklyn Tabernaclewas the main Society building
when they first moved toBrooklyn in 1909)

WATCH TOWER- JANUARY 1,1910 describes it as followed.

Greetings to Pilgrims andColporteurs.............

We invite the Pilgrims,as well as the Colporteurs, to
send to us the addressesof such persons as desire the sermons
but cannot afford thecost.
We desire to send alittle Christmas token to each regular
Pilgrim in the serviceand to each regular Colporteur.
By \"regular\" wemean such as devotes entire time to the
work, or at leastone-half of his time.

Please accept one of thenew gold Cross and Crown pins
and advise us at yourconvenience where we shall send it.
Reckon on its leavinghere January 11, which will give us
time to get through withour Christmas rush.

We will enclose one ofthe little booklets, \"The Sweet Brier
Rose,\" and trust that thesentiments of the poem are those of
your heart. We send alsoone of the \"Heart Bookmarks\"
and trust that thesentiments thereon expressed will find echo
in your souls throughoutthe coming year. \"Keep thy heart
with all diligence\" for the Lord and in his service and love,
which means in the loveand service of all who are truly his.
Thus doing, undoubtedlythe year 1910 will be to us a very
happy and profitable one.As you look at the grape clusters
on the bookmark, letthem remind you of the Master\'s words,
