RARE William Moorcroft 11.8\" FUCHSIA FLAMBE trial vase c.1945 full signature:
$1100.00

I offer this incredibly rare William Moorcroft 12\" FUCHSIA FLAMBE trial vase/lamp base c.1944-45 that was eventually put in production as a yellow flambe lamp base for the Crest Company of Chicago IL in 1948. This early version of the trial is signed by William Moorcroft who passed away in 1945. The production versions for the Crest company would have been signed by Walter Moorcroft and factory drilled. The base is drilled to demonstrate how the production pot was to look. See the Moorcroft Revised Edition book (1993 & 1996) by Paul Atterbury, page 139 for the full reference on this pot. Full William Moorcroft signature in blue, paper label \"Potter to the Queen\", version number C-20 on paper label.
Dimensions: appx. 11 3/4\" tall (29.8 cm) by 5\" diameter (12.7 cm) at widest.
Condition: Excellent. No cracks, chips or repairs. Light crazing. Drilled base is most likely original to the trial. Slight rubbing of the flambe finish at the top edge, likely resulting from a metal cover having been used for the lamp hardware. Displays beautifully. The first photo shows a little line near the top; this was some sticky goo that I missed when cleaning the pot and removed after the photo was taken.*** ***
Buyer prepays purchase & shipping charges of $40.00 for tracked insured expedited shipping in North America. This is a large pot. We always pack professionally. Shipping overseas will be $100.00 for tracked shipping.

We ship from Canada, usually by Canada Post. Buyers are responsible for any duties or importing charges in their own country. When we ship across borders, delays can happen when the customs office of the destination country decides to inspect the purchase; this is out of our control, so please be understanding. We keep our shipping costs to what it costs us to ship, including the 10% cut that takes, time to pack, materials and our own Canadian taxes on shipping. So when we charge $20.00 for shipping, gets $2.00 off the top, Canadian taxes 13% are not shown on the Canada Post label but we have to pay them; so please keep this in mind before thinking that you paid more than showed on the Canada Post label. If we misquote a shipping charge by charging too little, we eat the difference so that you will never be charged more than what we quote on the shipping in the listing.

Please contact us ahead of time for overseas shipping (Europe, UK, Australia, Orient).

Make sure that you check our other fine articles for sale on by clicking the \"other sales by seller\" button above.

The items we sell are antiques, used, often hand made and almost always one of a kind. While we try really hard (see our excellent response) to describe all post manufacture imperfections and the most obvious ones resulting from manufacturing, we cannot describe all irregularities resulting from uniqueness and wear of the objects, as it would take forever. The buyer agrees that we are not responsible for those unique features created during manufacturing that may be missing from our descriptions, as the item passed the original quality control or it would not have been released in the first place.

If we don\'t know about a problem, we cannot fix it. Let us know immediately if there is a problem so that we can make it right. It is not so much theproblems that are important, it is how they get resolved.
