Offered Today we have another>Amazing Quality Original RCA, Prewar collectors favorite Compact radio with dark marbled chocolate bakelite cabinet table radio.Model45X11 from1940.Working original! A beautifull tube radio for the avid \"Prewar\" radio collector!This is from the estate of a local ham radio friend,and i am selling it for him,he did most of the resto work and is very well done! Not easy to findthis model today in excellent looking and working condition! Most are found with missing backs, dial cover,cracked caseect..This one is Exhibiting agorgeous luster to the marbled chocolate colored Bakelitefinish using the best finishing polish available.I took a few photos in sunlight to show the nice marbling in the finish!The only age related issue is minorscratches and markson the bottom of the cabinet,andthe label is mostly gone from the bottom.Very minor issuefor this vintage! No ,marring,dings or deep scratches to be found anywhere elase! There are no otherissues on the cabinet. I am splitting hairs here!! Givin the 75+ year age of this set it is in remarkable condition!! The dial facade letteringisexcellent for this vintage,often found with deep scratches andmissingfoil on the dial.The etching is perfect. The brass pointer has a white painted tip by the previous owner and is is perfect! Very desirable deep darkmarbling in the originalmirror finish.The deco knobs,and rca logo are excellent! Therear cover is a new repro of the original and fits perfect! Note: The pilot light justbellow the dial,illuminating the gorgeous dial facade.This was an updated bright LED added to enhance the illumination! This modification was added by the previous owner.This radio is in outstanding condition in and out,You wont find one much better these days,in this gorgeous condition!

This is a5 tube chassis all American tube line up and the chassis and interior cabinetare very clean.The volume control wascleaned and de-oxidized,The power cord is original withlittle stiffness and is safe for use.All tubes checked strong on my heath tester!.All other components inspected and replaced as needed,new filter caps,wax caps, resistorsect.All other mechanical components oiled and working as designed. The rear loop support is repaired to fit solid,these are always torn or broken from age.The i.f.has been aligned using a signal generator for optimum accuracy! All antenna trimmers re aligned to factory specs to bring you a flawless performance!The audio is excellent and very selective for a5 tuber,very strong player,bench tested for 12 hours,then retested after cool down for another 12 hours! this set features a gorgeous front designedvertical grill andbrass dial pointer with original knobs. Agorgeous Designed deco compact prewar!
