Reagan Inaugural Ball (and Secession Party) San Francisco, Ca 1981 At Veterans M:
REAGAN INAUGURAL BALL (and secession party) San Francisco, CA 1981 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium. A benefit for War Resisters League. Among other notables the famous Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were in attendance at this event as San Franciscians began their eight year hate affiar with President Ronald Reagan. It’s not as if they didn’t know what was coming; they had hated him for eight years as Governor Ronald Reagan. Black ink on yellow paper, 8-1/2” x 11” offset-litho poster. I must have picked this up off the street because there is a light impression of a shoe and an area where it asppears to have been mashed against the pavement causing some dappled impressions. It has a small dog ear in the lower, left corner and appears to have been lightly folded (but not creased) into quarters, probably by me to fit in into the inner pocket of the the black over coat I wore in those days. It is otherwise in good condition with no signs of having been posted, no tears or creases.
