Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this stunning fullyrestored Bordeaux leather Gentleman’s club sofa part of a large suite with agreat history

This piece is part of a suite, all restored to the same finish andstandard, I have two 2 seater sofas, one 3-4 seater sofa and five armchairs

These pieces were hand made in Chelsea in the late 70’s, they were shippedover to the British officer’s mess in a barracks in Germany, I’ve seen picturesof very grand high ranking military officials and even Royalty sitting in thissuite, sadly the original owner kept a few choice pieces for themselves alongwith the pictures

Each piece is exceptionally heavy, the base’s are traditional English coilsprung, each spring is hand tied eight ways, hessian padded and strapped, thecushions both back and base are deep heavy feather filled, the back cushionsare sewn into place

The upholstery has all been hand studded in place using oversized antiquedbrass studs, the finish is truly stunning

These genuinely are the penultimate gentleman’s club seating, they arecool, comfortable and with very thick hardwearing leather

Prior to dispatch the sofas will all have new hessian base covers fittedas the cover you can see at the moment is a little tatty around the edges

Depth:- 91cm with the back to the wall to the front edge of the sofaframe, 95cm to the front of the cushion

PAYMENTS

We accept payment via card at the warehouse on the day of collection,PayPal or bacs prior to collection We would kindly ask that all items are paidfor within 48 hours and collected within 7 working days, we can hold all paiditems for 14 days free of charge, there after a £10 a week storage fee willapply for the first two weeks

Please ask before purchase should you wish us to hold something for longerthan two weeks, if after three months your item isn’t collected you willforfeit your payment and the item will be placed for sale again

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating willalways have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, werecommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leatheris not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time asit will dry out and fade

COURIER (LARGE ITEMS ONLY THAT CAN’T BE POSTED)

Absolutely nothing is sent for free, every item has a specific price fordelivery, please ask for a quote before you offer and not after

Your invoice will be sent with zero balance in the delivery section, thisis because all delivery fees are paid directly to the courier company to keepyour costs down, if we charge you through we have to add and paypalfees, vat and other taxes to make sure the courier company are paid the exactamount they charge

We can arrange delivery nationwide, mostly with Wimbledon couriers, forEurope we use two reasonably priced professional companies that we trust, forthe rest of the world it is location specific

Whoever delivers will always require help on the larger items to unload,the price you will be quoted will always be based on this assumption, if thisis not possible please let us know as it will affect the price to send a twoman team

Delivery is to the ground floor only, again if you need help upstairs orin flats etc that\'s absolutely not a problem, the couriers charge £10-£20 perflight per man per item, if you have a working elevator then naturally there’sno additional fee

All courier fees are paid by yourself directly to the courier company, thecontract for delivery is between yourselves the client and whichever courieryou chose from those available I’m happy to accommodate your own courier aftera cleared payment has been received, they need to book in a collection timewith at least 24 hour’s notice, all collections must be made within 14 workingdays of the close of the sale unless agreed by prior arrangement
