DESCRIPTION:Adorable little terrier puppy (wire fox terrier I believe, could be a sealyham). Made by Rosenthal with their usual excellent quality. About 3 3/4\" high x 5 ½\" long. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or crazing, factory 1st. White spots in photos are from light reflections. Marked on the bottom with the green underglaze mark of Rosenthal. It says Rosenthal GERMANY handgemalt.I believe this mark dates to the 1950\'s, so it is an old, vintagedog. Also impressed with Th Karner (the artist) and 1121 (the model number). This dog was first modeled in 1930. Theodor Karner, aka Kaerner, well known for his fabulous dog figures, started working for Rosenthal in 1919. He also worked for Allach, Nymphenburg, Eschenbach, Royal Heidelberg and others. He is known as one of the best and most important designers of animal and dog figures.
