THIS IS A STUNNING ROYAL COPENHAGEN PORCELAIN BLUE FLUTED FULL LACE, 1 1/2 INCH RETICULATED BORDER PLATE. IT IS SCALLOPED WITH AN OPEN WEAVE, BASKET WEAVE EDGE. THE BLUE FLUTED PATTERN IS IN THE CENTER. IT IS 10\" WIDE AND IS #1098. THIS EXQUISITE PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
This gorgeous, elegant serving piece is in the famous Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, blue fluted full lace pattern with its intricate and vivid blue and white glaze. It as a double lace border. The porcelain plate is handpainted. This pattern is no longer in production.
It is heavy and has no utensil marks. It is a vintage piece but looks like it has never been used. The blue fluted design is bright and crisp.
This pattern was first introduced in 1775 and has remained Royal Copenhagen\'s classic, signature pattern. This fine china was designed by Arnold Krog and still requires hundreds of brush stokes for each item. It has meticulous, handpainted workmanship. Royal Copenhagen is known for its high standards and craftsmanship.
This lovely scalloped, pierced edge plate has the Royal Copenhagen, Denmark number mark of # 1098 on the base. The Royal Copenhagen hallmarks of the green crown and three blue waves are on its bottom. There is a scratch mark through the three blue waves, which makes this item a factory second. I can see no reason why this lovely plate would be marked a second.
The graceful looking serving or display plate is in excellent condition. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, repairs or damage of any kind.
The measurements of this beautiful dish are 10 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches high.
