ROYAL DAULTON FIFTH ANNUAL Christmas PLATE 1981

Part of an ongoing series that was first introduced in 1977, each of the Royal Doulton annual Christmas plates features a traditional Christmas theme on a PURE WHITE ENGLISH BONE CHINA BODY. The design is banded by a rim of embossed angels and bells, mingled with decorative holly springs and edged in gleaming gold.

This year the topic chosen is a group of young Victorian carolers, whose lilting voices sing by lantern light in a snow-capped Winter scene. On the reverse of the plate is set an enchanting Christmas verse.

This is in the original box, never been taken out of the box and in Mint Condition. A beautiful plate to own.
