This Ginger Jar was issued in a small limited edition of 250 items only in 1999 (this is number 191/250).The premise behind the Burslem Artwares series was to create a Prestige range of Royal Doulton rivalling the quality and creative design of the early 1920s and 1930s pieces.

Now our Master Potters pay tribute to generations of skilled artisans in creating this unique new collection, Burslem Artwares.Each piece is individually hand made in our Artwares Studio and is the result of the fusion of elements - air, fire, earth and metal - and no two pieces are alike. The Canton Ginger Jar has an Oriental Sung Glaze and is issued in a limited edition of 250 pieces.
The Canton Ginger Jar is 18 centimeters or 7 inches tall, and inimmaculate condition free from cracks, chips, repairs and crazing (please excuse the flash in the picture - it is very hard to photograph highly glazed, curved surfaces).We have previously written (and been published) as to the highly revered Royal Doulton Flambe Glaze - we will email you a copy of this article with your purchase.
