Carrier pigeons played a vital role in the 1914-18 War—as they did again in the Second World War. Pictures show a pigeon being released by an R.N.A.S. pilot while standing on the float of his Sopwith Baby seaplane and an airman releasing a pigeon while his machine is in flight.

CONDITION: Excellent condition perfectly preserved.
