50 YEARS OLD NOW.........I purchased this knife from a fellow er awhile ago.He stated the knife possibly was owned by a soldier killed in action and on the Vietnam Virtual Wall Memorial.......I have printed some pages which will be included.The name on the knife is Michael L.Ellis--the name on the wall is Michael Leroy Ellis.......Ellis was killed in 1967 and the knife does fit the time frame,,,You be the judge....Vintage Vietnam era Randall model 14....carried but cared for....01 tool steel blade and tang has oxidation and staining...light scratches....previous owners name engraved on blade...large rounded brass guard...unlined thonghole,,,gray stone in the pocket.........Riveted Johnson sheath with working snaps and tight stitches....torn bottom tab................MICHAEL LeRoy ELLIS.....Specialist FOUR...A Co.,2nd BN,503rd INFANTRY,173 ABN BDE..Army of the United States..20 August 1946-19 30E Line 024....killed in the fighting of Hill 875.........very niceexample of Vietnam era knife with possible U.S.MILITARY AIRBORNE BRIGADEhistory.............FREE USPS Priority shipping with full insurance coverage and tracking.US sales and buyers only.
