A very rare Georgian period sterling silver shaving brush.

English made. Travelling piece with a screw top brush end.

The brush can be kept inside the handle until use before the cap can be opened and the bristle top end screwed onto on end.

Hallmarks ; handle - A.D, lion, King\'s head, date letter r for 1815. End cap - lion, r. Brush end - lion, the rest is rubbed

Condition ; Excellent. Crisp design. Working screw hinge to brush end. No repairs, major dents or issues. Only very very minor wear with age. Bristles with light wear. Please view photographs.
