For your consideration is an antique Ansonia mantel clock. This is patented June 14, 1881.This gorgeous piece of history has been in one family for decades and has traveled around the world a few times with the wealthy owners.Beautiful statue mantel clock of Roman Goddess Demeter, the harvester. Open escapement and lots of detail in the clock.Not sure if the clock holds time as it should. Worked fine 2 years ago per the owner.The face has no marks and the only imperfection is a broken leg on the stool on which the Goddess sits.Front and back open and close as they should. This is a heavy clock and measures 12 1/2\" tall, 17 1/2\" wide and 6 1/2\" deep. Not another like this on . It has no key, but uses a size 7 which you can get right here on .Due to the cast iron this is a very heavy clock at 23 pounds. It will be fully insured.Please email with any questions.
