Rare 18th-19th C. Antique Wedgwood Clock Case w/ orig. Dial & Hands, 10\" tall:
$295.00

A rare early example of Wedgwood pottery, an 18th century clock case in classic Wedgwood blue dating to ca. 1760 as denoted by the single-letter strike of the Wedgwood name on the bottom of the clock. The Latin phrase \"TEMPUS FUGIT\" (\"Time flies\") is written across the top of the front. Possesses the original dial and handset, but the mechanical engine of the clock is missing, and this is sold purely as a decorative item. Measures approx. 10 inches in height. Small period repair on the front of the base as shown, but the piece is in overall excellent condition, especially considering it may be over 260 years old. From the refined estate of a San Diego-area collector and published author. All sales are final; please ask all questions before offerding! Thank you for visiting and have a nice day!
