Rare 18thC Meissen Porcelain Polychrome Scenic Cup & Saucer Porzellan Tasse:

For sale is a cup and saucer made by Meissen in the late 18th century to early 19th century during the Marcolini period. The set is handpainted with a very detailed scene in the center of the saucer and on the front of the cup as well as some small scattered flowers and a dark brown trim to the rim. I like these types of scenes a lot because they are so decorative and show how life was back durng those times. Not easy to find this style at all. The cup handle has the typical square shape of this period which I am definitely partial to :) The handle has some gold and some puce trim to it. The set is in great condition with some minor signs of age mostly to the underside of the cup because of the flat bottom and some minor firing spots here and there. Both are marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark with the star of the Marcolini period as well as the usual impressed number. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter.
