1915 - 1919 GIBSON MANDOLIN GUITAR COMPANY ARMY NAVY SPECIAL STYLE DY MADE IN KALAMAZOO MICH. USA, VERY NICE CONDITION FOR A 100 YEARS OLD, RARE CONDITION

This is avery Beautiful instrument in as good of condition as you will find for old instrument, built inthe USA from approx. 1915 thru 1919 or 1920 It is a nice playablemandolin. This has an ebony or rosewood fingerboard, mahogany neck, birch sides and back ? nice crack free spruce top. Also has the original bridge,tailpiece, and tuners no pickguard, in fact this may not have had a pickguard I see no signs of any clamp wear on the side where it should be clamped ir it feel off very early . I think this could have been refinished but I can\'t say for sure I don\'t know how well these were prepared for finish originally. This is a pretty rare instrument and the bonus is the condition is pretty good all things considered. I have just installed new ultra lite strings on this. 9-32 gauge
