\"The Queen of Hearts\"
Here is a darling, 1938 vintage, oil cloth doll by Ideal Toy Co. from their \"Story Book\" series of childhood favorites. Clearly signed in red script across the front of her long, off white, organdy gown, \"The Queen of Hearts\" , she stands, 16\" tall. She is described in detail on page 64, \"Ideal Dolls\", 3rd edition-Izen and is one of the seven character dolls from this sought after series. She is all cloth with a beautiful mask face with charmingly painted features including side-glancing blue eyes with high lights, long eyelashes, pert little nose, rosy cheeks and swivel neck. She has washable oilcloth arms with mitt-type hands and her complete, thick golden yellow yarn wig which is crowned with her large, gold trimmed, felt crown and wears her complete, layered organdy gown, long pantalettes and leatherette shoes with ties and buckle trim. She is in very good condition with no damages or repairs (*one tiny age hole in organdy sleeve) and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Her clothing shows some overall darkening due to age.
