Produced by the Forschungsinstitut Der Deutschen Gesellschaft Fur Auswartige Politik (Research Institute of the German Council on Foreign Relations) and Published in Munich in 1959

Offering an extremely rare hardcover edition of the Documents on the Status of Berlin, compiled by the West German government to capture all Agreements, Edicts, Conventions, Proclamations, Reports, Statements, Addresses, Communiques, and Correspondence dealing with the partition of the city of Berlin, from the period 1943 to 1959. Hundreds of documents on the status of Berlin collected in this volume cover a period of 15 years, starting with the Three Power Agreements on the Occupation and Control of Germany by the Allied Powers as prepared by the European Advisory Commission, and ending with the exchange of notes caused by the Soviet threat in November 1958 to abrogate unilaterally these arrangements unless the Western Powers and the Federal Republic of Germany accepted within six months the Soviet proposals to declare West Berlin a free city.

Book is in LIKE NEW, excellent condition withgreen boards and gold lettering on the spine. Boards are straight with no curling to the four corners and no shelf wear to the edges. Binding is tight and square.Pages are clean and crisp with no tears, chips, marksor creases. Excellent condition for a 58-year old book. Extremely rare, have never seen one like it. A must-have for any library on the Cold War or the history of the City of Berlin.
