Offered are two circa 1967/68 promotional photographs from a Memphis, TN estate. The two photos were said to have possibly been in the Lorraine Motel but I have not confirmed this. They did belong to a Memphis resident that was in contact with Dr King in the 1960\'s. The photos picture recording artists, many of whom were guests at the Lorraine. Including; James Brown, Marvin Gay(e), Sam Cook(e), The Staples, Four Tops, Soul Stirrers, Temptations, Clara Ward, etc.As can be seen in the images the motel\'s most famous guest Dr King is featured promonitely in the upper center of the photograph. This is undoubtably a rare piece with much history.There are two promo photos included in this sale. It is how I purchased them.Each photograph shows wear consistent with age with staining & light discoloration.Each measures 10 1/8\" x 8 1/8\".
