Description: Rare 1934 first variant style of the Popeye Pocket watch. These were produced by New Haven and licensed King Syndicate, Inc. Between the dial marker are the Thimble Theatre Players and Wimpy should be on the revolving seconds disk but that disk is missing. These were only produced 1934, as the second variant was introduced in 1935, very similar, minus the characters for dial markers. It is in working condition and even the second hand goes around. The crystal is in excellent condition and obviously replaced as the Wimpy disc is missing. Overall in excellent condition and if someone has a beater or just the Wimpy disc, you could have quite the deal on a rare character pocket watch. This is part of a good sized collection of original character watches I will be listing. !!!! Combine with other items to save you shipping costs.
