We left the natural patina mostly intact.
The pen can be easily cleaned with a special solution if you do not like the patina.
I think that the natural patina is very appealing and it is something that takes years to achieve.
We can remove it prior to shipping but we will not accept a return.
You need to twist the cap to extend the refill into writing position.
