This is a gem. This wonderful Native American Doll measures9” tall. The face has dark glass eyes with finely painted upper and lowereyelashes, open mouth with a row of tiny teeth.The body is even russet brown fired coloring (which will not flake off).The doll is jointed at the shoulders and hips. She wears the original feltdress.

It was given to my daughter by my husband’saunt. There was a note with the dolldescribing the history of the doll.“Dear Stefi, here is Pocahontas’ great grandmother. This doll was given to me in 1923.” It is marked Germany A.710M on the back ofthe neck. My research has determinedthat doll was produced by Armand Marseille.You can see by the photos that this doll is in great condition.
