RARE Antique ANGLO INDIAN Ornately Carved HANGING SHELF c 1870 British Colonial:

This scarce ornate mid 19th century Anglo Indian hanging shelf was discovered during a recent property renovation alongside a very heavily carved mirror of similar age which is listed seperately.
The previous owner informs me that both items were brought back from India by her great grandfather who was stationed in Bombay with the British army.
This ornately carved frame is very heavy indeed being carved from teak and having an iron strip affixed to the rear. This was only removed 2 days ago and the fixing brackets have been left in situ.
This measures 24\"x 10\"x 4.5\" and is probably the first to be offered on , although I did find one that had sold for $1700 on the web !
As a totally unexpected find this can be offered for a more sensible price.
Condition is very good with no splits or restoration, please check my photos.
