On offer this stunning Austro Hungarian porcelain scent bottle dating back to around 1880
This exquisite bottle from my private collection has a porcelain body with Persian style design to the front and back depicting a bird and flowers and foliage with gilt outlines and highlights. The design is slightly different on each side.
The porcelain bottle has a scalloped shape and is fitted with a beautiful lid. The lid is cork lined and is covered in blue, turquoise, red & white jewels around the collar and lid. The top of the lid has a large ruby red glass cabochon. The bottle is further fitted with a chain chain attached to the sides so that it could be hung from a chatelaine.
This magnificent bottle is a very rare find and is offered in good antique condition with no damage to the body, no cracks nor chips and no fractures to the neck. The enamal has no damage and remains bright and clean. The bottle measures approximately 7 cms in width and 6.5 cms in length plus 3 cms of lid and this is a lay down bottle
