Up for consideration is this antique hand carved Cambodian Khmer Rice Harvesting Knife from South East Asia.It was hand carved from wood. The handle is a detailed carved Naga. Cambodian legend says the Naga were a reptilian race of beings who possessed a large empire or kingdom in the Pacific Ocean region.Khmer people are descended of the Naga according to tribal legend. The blade shows a makers mark. You can see how the teeth of the blade were carved by hand. It has minimal surface rust and has nice patina. It measures 18 inches long X 11 inches high. It is in remarkable shape for its age.Pictures are description.
