Rare antique Chinese Export Famille Rose bowl with what I believe to be a hybrid transitional mixed Rose Medallion and Rose Mandarin interior paneled decoration. Measures approximately 8 3/4 inches diameter by 3 1/2 inches in height. Nice footed rim as shown in close-up photos. Note the sex of the figures in the Imperial Court are clearly identified....the men are wearing shoes ...the women not even showing a toe much less their feet.... as is Chinese custom. The bowl still retains much of its original gilt decoration...especially to the Greek key design separating the interior panels. There are butterflies on the rim both inside and out. Probably mid 19th century but expert opinion always welcome. Heavy for its size.....weighs 2 pounds 3.5 ounces. I like this bowl and think you will too. Money back guarantee as always.
Overall fair to good condition as described above...... minor wear and loss to enamel decoration from age and normal use... one small flake chip to rim as shown .....otherwise very presentable with strong colors and a bold design ready to display. Would look fantastic on a stand.
