Absolutely Stunning and Rare One of a Kind Antique Chinese Silk Embroidered Noblewoman PurseMuseum quality 120+yr old Art Purse, I could easily see this at the Met MuseumPure Silk with weighted carved flat bars that flip up to hold purse closed as seen in pictures 1, 3, 7 Gold Metallic Couched Embroidery thread that is cold to the touch which is a sign that it is Metal thread--shiny Gold metal2 different AMAZING embroidered pastoral scenes depicting a crowned child/man in a boat with a woman handing him something and a weeping willow on one side AND on the other 2 children walking along in a forested area with a bird. there are also rocks and mountains and other floral forms The figures all have amazing details and are very expressive masterfully embroidered!The top of the purse has lingzhi immortality mushroom shapes-- rich chocolate brown on one side and light blue on the other. the lingzhi have 2 coins embroidered on them as well as 2 bats at the very top of the bagIncredible Teal Buddhist Knot Knotwork (2x) with braided fringed metal circles, the strings can be pulled closed and are in working orderLined in Cream color thick silk insideColors are mellow All Original Excellent Condition.
