Up for sale this interesting cigar lighter by artist L.V. Aronson the founder of Ronson Art works.It was produced by Art Metal Works of Newark, N.J in 1909.The company eventually became the Ronson Company as it is known today. This impish fella is known as the god of good luck and is appropriately mounted on a four leaf clover. It is made of gilt metal or bronze and is in nice shape. The figure and wick are original but the striker has been replaced at some point. The same Gobbo has also been used to produce an automobile mascot. This one is signed by the artist on the left leg. One sold in 2009for $1440 with the buyer\'s premium.Dimensions are 5 1/2inches by 4 by 4. Weight is 2 pounds. It was originally fueled by kerosene. Good luck offerding!.
