This is a rare and spectular example of a Bradley and Hubbard Gone with the Wind stylefloor lamp. It is a true antique, not a newreproduction. The B&H logo is stamped on the cap that you unscrew to fill the lamp.

This lamp has acentraldraft burner, which is an extremely efficient burner. In it\'s day, it was advertised ashaving the ability to produce almost as much light as a \"mammoth\" lamp, butusing 1/3 less fuel. The secret is that ithas a central air intake tube that is surrounded by a circular wick.

Anothermost unusal factorin this piece is the placement of the lever directly on the top of the base instead ofthetraditionally beingattached to the neck. To raise the circular wick, you simply pull up the lever. To lower it, you push the lever down.

Fromthe top of the clear glass shade down to thebottom of the paw feetisaprroximately 5 feettall. The circumfrence of the floral glass shade is apromimately 42\", and the diameter is 11 inches wide.

Overall condition is very good considering it\'s age. The metal is starting to develop a beautiful pantina, as you can see in the picture. Someone was obviously painting something while this was in the room, and there are a few paint splatters. The glass globe is beautifully textured and has no chips, cracks or dings that I can see, but there is somefading of the handpaintedroses on theglobe. This legs of this lamp unscrew so they can be easily packed. All you have to do is screw in the legs, place the two shades over the burner, and viola~you have a beautiful heirloom lamp to adorn your choice of rooms.
