Rare Antique Old Mine cut OMC Diamond Tree of Life Brooch 18K Gold Box This is a rarest 18K yellow gold Tree of Life brooch. It comes in an antique box we purchased it, but we cannot promise it is an original box. We estimate the age of this piece to be circa 1870s-1890s. The gold content is not stamped. But the piece is thoroughly tested with a jeweler acid and guaranteed to be 18K solid gold. It appears to have a hallmark on a right side (please see picture), but also could be a part of a design. There are 9 rose cut and 5 old mine cut diamonds in total. The rose cuts are 1-2 points and they are white and very fiery. The old mine cuts are 10-15 points each, for a total of .67 carat estimated weight. Most of the OMC diamonds are VS-2-SI-1 in clarity, one of them is I-1 in clarity. They color is LJ. Grand total diamond weight is estimated to be at least 3/4 carat. Two of OMC diamonds have microscopic chips on a table consistent with age, only mentioned here for accuracy. The piece measures 41.55mm (1-3/4\") x 31.58mm. It weighs a substantial 12.1 grams of luxurious 18K gold. Great antique condition with beautiful patina. What a rarity!! Welcome to Luvmydiamond!
