THIS OFFERING CONSISTS OF TWO PIECES ONLY, THE HEADBOARD AND THE FOOTBOARD ONLY. This vintage brass bed set is a rare item that was built in the early 20th century, if not before.The manufacturer is not known but the intricate designs that make up the panels have a distinctive heriloom quality that would make a stunning statement in any master bedroom. This set of boards is designed for a queen-sized bed, given the 60 inch width between the cone-shaped holes in the hitches at the extremities of each board. Siderails, which are not available with this sale, can be dropped into the hitches, thereby connecting the headboard and the foot board to form the bed frame. The head board is 65 inches high and the foot board is 58 inches high. Each is 64 inches wide. With a combination of heavy guage brass tubing and ornate flat brass plate, this is a very heavy bed. One dual-castor wheel is missing. There are signs of slight cosmic wear to t,he finish in places, which is consistant with normal use and age of a bed of this vintage.
