Up for sale is a rare antique Star Brass MFG. Co. Boston, Mass. 3 chime steam locomotive whistle. It has a Lunkenheimer base and unfortunately somebody wanted to run this straight through and took the valve guts out and then sautered the cap, as you can see from the pictures. Please examine the photos carefully, as they show the condition better than can be described. The whistle is 3\" in diameter, the top with the Star Brass logo is approx. 3 3/8\" across. From the bottom to the top of the acorn is 12 1/8\" tall. Great piece for anyone that collects!
