Good solid condition, and very rare. The clock does run, however its is missing is striking hammer and bracket, so doesn\'t chime. A service is advisable as it is temperamental and long over due a service and is priced and sold as such. There are some small chips to the glass lens around the edge. No Key. Fully hallmarked London 1900 (e) on the side and the door. I have an identical clock also listed, which has a chiming hammer, though slightly different hands and is dated 1901.Date 1900

An Edwardian silver-cased mantel clock by William Comyns, the French style case of waisted form on scroll supports with scroll feet, the body, embossed decoration of Watteau figures the sides and rear door with scroll edged narrative panels, the cream enamelled Roman dial with floral swag decoration and trefoil hour hand, the two train movement with lever platform escapement, exhibition stamp for Vincenti & Cie 1855, numbered 486, the case with retailer\'s stamp. Case hallmarked London 1900. Approx Size: Height 7.85\" x 6.55\" w x 4.25\" breadth
