VICTORIAN SILVER FRAMED HANDBAG/ PURSE

SUPERB, RARE, GENUINE VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER FRAMED HANDBAG. THIS BAG IS BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED FROM A THICK AND HEAVY SOLID SILVER FRAME, WITHIT'S ORIGINALMOCHA/ BEIGE MATERIAL. THE FRAME IS HIGHLY ORNATE, DECORATED ON BOTH SIDES WITH DEEP FLORAL ENGRAVINGS AND FLOWER HEADS.THE MATERIAL "BAG" AND PLAITED STRAP ARE ALSO FLORAL THEMEDIN A CLASSIC AND TIMELESS TWO TONEMOCHA. THE SILVER TOP HAS A PUSH LEVER BUTTON, THAT OPENS TO REVEAL A DARK BROWN SILKYLINING AND A SOLID SILVER CENTRAL BAR WITH HOLES TO STITCH A SEPERATE MATERIAL COMPARTMENT, IF DESIRED.

THE OUTSIDE SILVER FRAME IS MARKED WITH THE LION PASSANT ON ONE SIDE AND THE INSIDE REVEALS SERIAL NUMBER "AP132" WITH THE BIRMINGHAM DATE LETTER FOR 1882. THE SILVER HAS BEEN TESTED AND IS GUARANTEED.

THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT FOR AGE. THERE IS SOME MINOR WEAR, AS EXPECTED- A COUPLE OF LOOSE STITCHES AND THE SILVER HAS BEEN LEFT UNCLEANED. THE OVERALL CONDITION IS EXCELLENT, THE BAG IS VERY STURDY AND VERY MUCH USEABLE.
