LOVE THIS! I know nothing about this, nor can I find another to let you know more. This is an early compact. Measures almost 3 inches long. Designed like a miniature suitcase....even has the early travel labels on it.....When you open the gold square lid inside it is stamped \"Distributed by Hinge Co Vanities Rhode Island, USA\" The rouge is still there, but there is no powder puff.There is some damage to the mirror inside. Opens and shuts easily. I have never seen one like this before.... I just consider one of the wonderful little treasures that I was lucky enough to find. I would date this to the 30s or 40s?
