BELOVED FOR THEIR ART DECO STYLING AND RUGGED CAST METAL CONSTRUCTION, THIS SAW CAN START OUT AS A GREAT WINTER RESTORATION PROJECT AND WIND UP BEING THE SHOWPIECE OF YOUR SHOP!
We are offering a vintage Walker Turner metal bandsaw in good working condition! Based on the serial number of 20 842, we believe this is Model #MBN935, 14\" Metal, made between 1939 and 1950 (see vintagemachinery.org for more details). It has its original base and is in working order. It has been repainted at some point along the way. Measuring approximately 26\" in width, 22\" in depth, and 69\" in height, it would look wonderful restored but can be used just as is. It has a modern switch added (and easily removed) and 120v grounded plug -- perfect for just sticking in your wherever you have a standard 120v outlet. Due to the bandsaw\'s size, it is available for local pickup only in Taunton, Massachusetts -- where it can also be inspected prior to purchase if you choose.
ABOUT PICKUP AND SHIPPING:This item is in a factory building that is being liquidated as a new tenant moves in. It has been disconnected from power and moved to a storage area but is guaranteed to have run and been maintained until recently when it was taken out of service. It is possible but not guaranteed that we can move it somewhere in the building where it can be run to demonstrate proper operation to the buyer before you take it... don\'t bank on it but we\'ll try if you ask. It is otherwise sold as is. We have a loading dock, grade-level dock, gantry cranes and fork lifts to help you load your item but we stress \"help\" as we are not machinery movers by a long shot and we\'ll rely on you to do the lion\'s share of the work and you assume all risk. We have strapping materials on hand but no pallets so if you plan to palletize, bring your own. You are welcome to hire a rigger or machinery mover and we will coordinate with whomever you designate. Depending on where it\'s going we may be able to put you together with an economical mover.
