Rare antique yellow ware blackberry and basketweave teapot with lid. It was made by J.E. Jeffords in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. They were in business from 1868 until 1901. The design patent is November 13 1877 for this teapot. It is one of the most desired forms in yellow ware. It measures 7\" tall including the lid. From the spout to the handle is approximately 8\".This antique teapot is in good condition for it\'s age-overall crazing. The lid has a 1/4\"chip on it; the spout has a small chip and there is a faint hairline around most of the teapot near the bottom-in the photos this line appears \"white\". Any other white areas are light reflection. There are no repairs or alterations. Please see photos for more details and information. Because of the previously mentioned \"flaws\" it is sold \"as is\". The blackberry motif is at the top of the teapot, the handle and the finial on the lid. This piece was the \"star\" of a yellow ware collector\'s collection. This is a beautiful piece of yellow ware that displays very well.
