For sale is a figurine of a lady holding a basket of flowers or possibly some sort of vegetable as well as a man with a fish made by Augarten in the early 20th century during the original period. They are possibly getting ready to go to the market to sell their goods or already there and talking business :) The figurine appears to be based on an 18th century Vienna model based on the gold trim of the base. A very well modeled figure with lots of superb hand painted detail all around. The figure is in perfect condition which is always a nice surprise with these fragile pieces. The figure is 5 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Augarten Austria in a red rectangle as well as a painter\'s number 87 (I believe it reads).
