Rare BLENKO ROOSTER 6145 WAYNE HUSTED Jonquil Amber Yellow 1961 Figure Vase/Bowl:

You are offerding on a rare hand-blown Blenko rooster vase or bowl in jonquil yellow. This is Blenko catalog number 6145, designed by Wayne Husted and made in 1961.This piece measures 11\" long x 6.75\" tall x 5\" deep. It has its original silver foil Blenko sticker, which is partially missing, but still readable.This rooster is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, or other damage I could find. The nose was shaped to a point by hand and has some small \"facets\" visible on close inspection. This is part of the manufacture process, not a flaw. The top of the head has what appear to be very fine \"wrinkles\" pressed into the surface. These are not cracks, but are how the glass formed while being shaped. There is a small pocket of black material embedded in the glass on the rooster\'s comb (see 3rd and 5th photos), an artifact of the glass-blowing process. There is a pontil mark on the bottom.
