Bell System/Western Electric phones weren\'t sold until the mid 1980s. Most payphones put up for sale were aftermarket customer owned units that are nowhere near the same quality. Look at all the phones listed with the coin slot and the coin return bucket on the wrong side! This ones got it all, originally manufactured in 1973 it\'s in great shape, a rotary Bell System, made by Western Electric payphone. It has the \"Bell logo\" on the near mint condition face plate and the coin return is marked Bell System, Made by Western Electric. The beautiful shiny vault door is marked Bell Atlantic. Look at that original Bell Atlantic marked handset and original phone number card and instruction cards. It\'s from New York City USA. It\'s been cleaned and polished, nice original paint and the chrome parts were all cleaned and polished and are beautiful. There is some wear on the sides from decades of use. The payphone has a modular plug on the end of the cord, all ready to plug in and use, no coins needed but if they are put into it they will follow the coin tracks into the vault area and will be stored there until you remove them. It comes with 2 keys, 1 key for the upper housing and a T key that will unlatch both the upper housing and the vault door!!!!It has a real vintage brass bell ringer that sounds great for incoming calls which can be answered with this phone. The phone is equipped with a \"tested and working\" rotary dial.International buyers!
