Great CDV of Brevet Brigadier General James F. Hall. Hall was a Lieutenant Colonel and Colonel of the 1st New York Engineers. Later promoted to Brevet Brigadier General and a very difficult image to find. Head and shoulders view as a major. Slight foxing to sky of image. Good corners. Image is authentic and guaranteed. See Roger Hunt\'s book for another view of him. Backmark: Whitney and Paradise, Broadway NY. The regiment was organized in New York City on September 27, 1861 and would muster out on June 30, 1865 at Richmond, VA.. Principal action was in South Carolina and Virginia. Images of identified, high ranking engineer officers are very hard to come by!Payment must be received within 7 days of sale end.
