Clive Roberts joined The Royal Canadain Air Force in 1941 -served in England and India .Graduated from Mount Allision University in 1951.Studied under Lawren Harris and Alex Colville .Received his Bachelor of Education -later becoming Art Director in 1952.Clive Roberts spent his last 30 years concentrating on his Watercolours,while specializing in landscapes of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick .Clives work in represented in Private and Corporate Collections in North America and Abroad .Including Collections of Canada Council - Province of New Brunswick . Mr Roberts started an Art Program at Beaverbrook Gallery where many art students were influenced by The Masterpieces of World Class Paintings .Clive only made 3 of these Portraits ....these 2 were given to his brother back in early 1950s while in University . Bought these at an Estate Sale at Brothers House .5 years later while Mr Clive Roberts-Wife and Daughter were in Nova Scotia on a Family Reunion they stopped in to advise on details how these came about .One Sculpture is of Mark Antony - best known as the Roman General and Lover of Cleopatra...........One next to this is of Alex Colville -A Nova Scotia Master Artist he studied under along with Lawren Harris whose works have soared in value lately to a Million plus .Classified as Unique .Clive Roberts was a Specialist working at his Art up untill passing in 2010 at 91.Glad he stopped in and talked about his work and career spanning many years,volumes can be written about him .Starting at a modest opening .Thanks for looking .Have a great day .
