Details: A rare commonwealth English silver slip top spoon. Fig shaped bowl. Hallmarked once to the bowl and also to the stem. Initials to the slip top. Gilded
Hallmarks / date / Maker: Hallmarked for London 1652. Leopard\'s head to the bowl with date letter up towards the terminal. Clear makers mark for Stephen Venables.
Condition: Good without repairs or splits. The bowl has not been reworked or altered as far as I can tell. Some gilding wear. Very good thick bowl without wear. Excellent makers mark and lion passant. Date letter is partial. Good patina. A lovely old spoon in great condition.
