Rare early Connecticut 2nd Company Governors Foot Guards coat button. The front has a beautiful spread wing eagle with 2ND COMPY GOV FOOT GUARDS 1775 surrounding it. The reverse has an RMDC SCOVILLS & CO : WATERBURY : backmark. The shank is straight. This button measures 23 mm\'s in diameter and has some light use wear. It is a tough button for your collection. The pictures are accurate as to its condition. Please look at my other sales.
